I am sure that this came up, but I don't know how to do it easily. And, it applies to Netscape, Mozilla, or Thunderbird.
This happened, yesterday to my wife. There was an e-mail, may be five lines long, and some obvious cc. When she went to print it, she found out that the entire page was filled with cc. Actually, she got two e-mails, one which had no obvious text, and more ccs, and the other one, I mentioned above.
I was able to come up with a workable solution by editing message as new.
That is like a reply, and the sender is replaced by one of our addresses.
Any way to have a clean e-mail with the original sender, and no cc.?

Probably not, unless there's an extension which will do it.

An easier solution is to forward the message to yourself ... when the composition window opens, you should be able to remove all of the CC:s in the message heading before you send it.

The printed message will show you as both sender and receiver, but the original sender's information will appear immediately below it.

I wanted a clean e-mail, and I get tons of addresses in the body of the e-mail.
The best I did was to edit as new, but then the original sender info is gone.
This happens so rarely that I never paid attention to it, until I got a reply from someone with all the addresses which I had removed.
I am using eCleaner, an old program into which I paste copied info.

    Westside ...

I don't think you understood what I said.

When you get an email loaded with To:s or Cc:s, and you want to remove them for printing, don't edit the message as new. Instead, simply click on "Forward" ... a composition window will open, showing the message. All of the To:s and/or Cc:s can be removed as a block by highlighting them and deleting them. Then send the message to yourself.

When you print the message, it will show you as both sender and receiver but, immediately below, it will show the original sender's information without the To:s/Cc:s.

I have been doing exactly what you said. I was hoping that there was a simpler way. You don't see the entire picture until you, either, select Print, or Print Preview.

    Westside ...

We seem to have a misunderstanding here.

Which is not what you said previously ...

Editing a message as new is not the same as Forwarding, which is what I suggested doing. When you "Edit As New" the addressees must be removed one at a time, and you don't retain the information about the original sender. If you "Forward" (to yourself), the addressees can be removed in a block, and the original sender's info is retained.

This statement was correct: I had been using the forwarding technique all along, and I misunderstood what Edit as New was supposed to be doing.
In other words, I had used the Forward, but I did not like it, because it removed all addresses. But, Edit as New is a royal pain with several addresses.
