Scanner and Camera Wizard does not start automatically

It use to be that when I connected my digital camera to my XP system, the Scanner and Camera wizard would start up and download my pictures. For some reason, it has stopped doing that. I can access the pictures on my camera by going through Explore. When I try to start the Wizard, I get a message that nothing is connected. I have tried all my USB ports, restarted the system, and changed the auto play settings for the drive, still nothing. I have not changed anything on my system since it worked last. This did happen about a year ago, but I disconnected and reconnected the cable and it worked again. Not this time. Any suggestions to getting the Wizard to work again? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Do you know what the tweak is? The link is bad.

 

You have to right click>Save Target

The tweak is a reg file.

Arie's link is probably the better choice.

But that wouldn't be very man-like, now would it? If we read directions first, toy assembly on Christmas morning would be over in like 30 minutes instead of occupying 3/4 of the day.
