AVG not working in safe mode

    for some reason, AVG antivirus does not work in safe mode. There is a virus that i am trying to get rid of in safe mode because i cant get rid of it normaly, but it doesnt come up... what is the problem?

    Check the AVG scan log as to where the virus is, then delete the file. If in C:\System Volume Information or C:\_Restore, disable System Restore, reboot, and then enable it. If in your temp IE files, delete them, using the Delete Offline Webpages option.
