    Hi,

I am using WINDOWS XP and am using IE 8 as browser.

I can only download files with Windows Firewall turned off and feel very insecure with this not on. Have I got too much security? I have Avast and Rapport on my computer.

Would be grateful of any help please.

You may have to look in your Avast Settings to see if your Security level can be adjusted. Neil.

Hi Neil contacted Avast who say it could not be a problem that their security is causing.Anyway I did a system restore and it seems to have solved the problem (FINGERS CROSSED!!!)

    Many thanks for your help

Hi Marline, nice to see you got it sorted with a Restore. It might have been a hiccup in one of their updates and doing a Restore prior is generally the answer.
    Cheers Neil.;)
