I have just had to re-install my computer. After all the updates and installing my AVG, Fuji Fine Pix Studio, ACDsee & System Mechanic I did a whole computer scan with AVG and this "C:\Windows\System32\mfc45.dll "; "Corrupted executable file "; "Potentially dangerous object " is the only thing it came up with? I am at a loss on how to proceed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You should always bee line it straight to Google and google the offending file name.

    mfc45.dll

Hi Karles. The file appears to be false positive from AVG. I wouldn't be too concerned with the file. It doesn't appear to be dangerous. More information here, mfc45.dll Corrupted Executable File.

I would set AVG to ignore the file.

Thanks Steve R Jones & Evan Omo for the help. Evan you were right it is a false positive. I never thought to check my laptop and that does not give me the error? I did call AVG [the call center is in the Philippines!] they have had several enquirers.
