I am trying to share files between my PC and my laptop via my network modem. I am running W10 on both. Seems like everything I try doesn't work. Apparently I'm missing something.

Although I have sharing set up as the article explained on both comps, when I choose share on either comp (right click on file and choose share), the other comp cannot be found. They are in different rooms but on the same network (router). Thoughts?

[QUOTEBy default, shared files are saved in your user profile, in the Downloads folder. You can change that location from the Shared Experiences Settings page.][/QUOTE]
Did you look in Downloads to see if it had been sent?
Did you check your comp in the other room was ready to accept Share?

Actually, I don't get to the point of sending it. I right click the file and choose share, but when it 'looks for nearby devices', it doesn't find any. The other comp isn't 'nearby', but it is on the router. Is there something I need to do with the router, like allow sharing or something?

It looks like you may have to use MS Mail (Outlook) to enable Nearby Share.

Hmmm... I'm using Outlook 2010 which is retired. No help available. Any idea where I can find Nearby Share in Outlook 2010?
