Hi, I added a hard disk as slave to my system. I changed the jumper settings of the slave hard disk and connected to my system and every thing worked fine. But after removing the slave I am getting 'Primary Master Hard disk error' at boot time and a beep sound is coming out of my hard disk and the system is unable to detect the hard disk. I am not sure what could have went wrong.
I tried to attach my hard disk to another system as slave and again the same beep sound was observed on the disk and that system was also not able to boot up.

    Please help me....

    Thank you in advance..

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

    Which OS are you using?
Was this slave drive added before or after the OS was installed?

Have you tried setting the jumper to CS on the main drive?

You don't say you tried reconnecting the slave drive and if it worked again like that. That would confirm that nothing has actually "broken ".
