I recieve this message at startup.
    AirGCFG.exe-Entry point not found.
Aps Searchinterface could not be located in the Dynamic Link library wlanapi.dll
I have a D-link AirGCFG in this computer and have wireless to link to the internet. It did work, but not now. I do not know how or why it happened.

Did you recently upgrade to SP3?

    SP3 has a new file – wlanapi.dll that replaces the D-Link one.
D-Link fixed the problem - new files should be on their support site.

Yes I did install SP3. I went to the D-Link support site that you suggested, and downloaded and installed the files. The startup message went away. D-Link does not work. I forgot that the install must be made with the D-Link not installed. I must open the computer, uninstall everything, reinstall the files, and reinstall the D-Link. I will do all of this later in the day. Wish I could talk to the person who put that in there. Anyway, thanks alot "ephemarial" for your help.

I have installed the drivers in every way I think is possible, and none of them works. I guess I will have to sleep on it and try again tomorrow.

Today I removed the D-Link wireless adapter. Uninstalled the D-Link files. Installed the original driver files, then reinstalled the wireless adapter. Installed new driver files. This first uninstalled the original driver files. Then I had to install the new files. I had to enable the D-Link in System, Hardware, and Device Manager. Then connected it to the Wireless. I think I did something like that before, except this time it worked. I may just take a day off now. Thanks again!!!

I had the same problem after installing XP/SP3, but let's fix it the easy way.

    1) Do a backup of SystemState (or everything).
    2) Uninstall the D-Link device. Windows will ignore it until you reboot... so don't reboot.
    2) Install the latest driver. It will try to get you to reconfigure, but who can find their WEP info when they need it, so just exit.
    3) Restore SystemState to restore your configuration.

Everything comes back as it was. There is a useless desktop icon to delete, and the system tray shows the power meter, but the dialog box is GONE!

AirGFCG.exe is a non-essential component launched at startup from the registry, so the entry can be deleted altogether.
