Hi, uogo. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

Does anything show up in Device Manager as an issue?

Are the laptop "numeric keypad" numbers 5 and 6 on the laptop located near the b and n buttons? If so, then I would suspect a hardware issue and investigate accordingly.

Perhaps there is a crumb or something similar stuck under the keys that causes the membrane under the keyboard to make electrical contact for more than one key.

Perhaps you can press lightly on the b and n buttons to make them produce only the b and n characters on screen???

If/when you feel confident it is a hardware issue, then consider having warranty work done before the warranty runs out. :)

This also makes me suspect a hardware issue.

I did a little Googling about problems with IBM/Lenovo keyboards.

Some people suggested calling Lenovo to see if they might send a new keyboard (if the laptop is in warranty). Might be fairly easy to replace.

It appears the warranty for your particular model is 1 year.

Here are links to a couple forum discussions about Lenovo 3000 keyboard problem issues.

    thank you

first off thank you for your replys
my "u,i,o,j,k,l,m" keys can dobble as numbbers but the b and n keys are not located anywhere nere them (except for the n which is next to the m which dobbles up as a 0 key).
pressing lightly or hardly dose not make a diffrence but if i hold down 6n it shows up as 6nnnnnnnnnnnn and b as 5bbbbbbb and not as 6n6n6n6n6n if i keep tapping it. the computer is not registering any problums in Device Manager.i have removed the keys to have a look but could not find anything 6now that i think about it i did realy bang down on the keys and i did kindof drop it once but it was a wile back but thank you for your help with this problem i shal probubly check the warrenty.
