Hey everyone, if you're the lucky owner of a T60 or T60p, you know you have a great machine on your hands. lol...I have two T60p's, and FOUR operating systems on them (XP/Vista dual-boot times 2). On EVERY last one of them, I thought that Bluetooth had been broken as it didn't seem to matter what I tried, and I tried a lot, including the usual suspects (device manager, BIOS, Windows "Help ", services, etc. etc.).

Since I don't use BT a lot, I didn't even really care if it was actually broken, which is why I could not for the life of me remember how I had found the solution to make it work on my other T60p. Then I accidentally stumbled upon a post and just clicked the keys for the heck of it, and all of a sudden, the BT icon turned on, Vista immediately installed all drivers for it, and System Update got the drivers for the Enhanced Data Rate installed at the next scheduled update check. So if you have a T60/p, and can't find the solution, simply press Fn + F5, and watch in disbelief LOL...

I hope this helps someone. :)

Heh...yea, I know. But I never do, and I bet a lot of people don't either. I still don't understand it. Attempting to enable BT through the Control Panel, and other more obvious places, actually came back with error messages saying something to the effect that the device was not working. So I stumble on this one post somewhere once, and just held down the Fn key. As my right hand was making its way across the keyboard to the F5 key, I expected nothing. But all of a sudden, the thing lit up. Weird. The other T60p I have also needed to be tricked into letting me use BT, but I didn't remember how or where. It was definitely not this combination of keys.
