Battery light is blinking orange.

    Hi I am running on a Inspiron 1150 laptop and all of the sudden the battery light began blinking orange.

    I shut down and restarted my computer and it is still doing it.

    When I unplug the power cable its fine though.

    Will I have to buy a new battery? Is it fried?

    Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

    Blinking amber battery light on Dells indicates "failing or failed battery ". It may still hold a charge, but not nearly as long as it used to. Time to replace the battery.

    Well, last night I took out my battery and then put it back in and now its not blinking orange, but just in case I'll start saving. I hate being a poor college student.
