Today turn on computer, but listen BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)-BEEP(short) (continuous) sound

And show this message via Award BIOS

    "Message Confirmation
The system intruded, chassis opened or tempered before. Please check the system.

What is this message, long-ago can't use standard Keyb (PS/2) port,
if use this port, Turn-on computer listen SAME BEEP(short) sound.

I try call the support, technician said maybe CHIPS error.
He suggest use USB Keyb replace.

But today, USB Keyb also can't use, is sure motherboard DIED?

Im use P3 Cel 600Mhz,128MB SDRAM,AGP4X display card
if sure motherboard DIED, this config (CelCPU,SDRAM,AGP4X and POWER SUPPLY) can not use

    Please!

    Award Bios Beeps Error Message

    Description
1long, 2 short = Video adapter error - Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly.

Repeating (continuous) = Memory error - Check for improperly seated or missing memory, or memory is gone bad.

1long, 3short = No video card or bad video RAM - Reseat or replace the video card.

High frequency beeeps while running = Overheated CPU - Check the CPU fan for proper operation. Check the case for proper air flow.

Repeating High/Low = CPU - Either the CPU is not seated properly or the CPU is damaged. May also be due to excess heat. Check the CPU fan or BIOS settings for proper fan speed.

Thank you. But I sure ALL is standard.

    First CPU is defualt setting.

And because turn-on computer, I can see
    (1) AGP BIOS text,
    (2) Calc RAM Size
    (3) Check my config, CPU MHZ, IDE1,IDE2,IDE3,IDE4
    (4) BOOT List Menu
    (5) Winxp LOGO

    But I always listen BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)...

So, I press RESET again, but show this ERROR message, Also I can see Step (1)(2)(3)(4)...

    Any suggest, please!

    thank you. but again

All beeps code is NO, I remember that technician said is North/South-Chip some error.

but I no sure why north/south-chip error always normal start windows and doing my programs.?

Because that BEEP I can use USB Keyb to FIX it.

now, BEEP AGAIN. I was only USB to motherboard to test. but BEEP Always...
RAM , CPU, Display is no problem... because next computer to test it. is normal...

if DIED, changed new motherboard is very difficult!?

Go into the BIOS settings at startup (you may need to press the F1 or Delete key, some systems use the F2 or F10 key). There will be a setting for "Chassis intrusion detection" or similar wording, look for Chassis. Set this to disabled.

I suggest that you also replace the CMOS battery, it looks like a silver coin on the motherboard and should be a type CR2032. The battery may be running low and even if you change the chassis setting, it may keep reverting to default and start showing the error message again.

Is the cover/panel on the case closed all the way? The error message is saying that the case has been opened.

Thanks, I was changed CMOS battery, BUt when I trun-on computer, I feel is under-control.

    Step:
    (1) AGP BIOS text,
    (2) Calc RAM Size
    (3) Check my config, CPU MHZ, IDE1,IDE2,IDE3,IDE4
    Now I always listen BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)-BEEP(short)..
    (4) BOOT List Menu
    (5) Winxp LOGO
    (6) Winxp Normal, Require LOGIN...

    but (4) (5) (6) , is under-control...

If press DEL/F1 goto BIOS, is CAN'T , because keyb is under-control.

You must start the BIOS setup program as Matt suggests (and look in the manual for the keystroke to enter the setup), and follow his directions. Would borrow a PS2 keyboard and try again as above. If you can't find a keyboard (either PS2 or USB) that works, that circuit on the motherboard may be bad, and a new board is in order. You can't use a computer without a keyboard. Installing a motherboard is a big job for a beginner, and wouldn't advise it.

Good spotting sparrow, I missed this part:
I don't think the computer supports USB keyboards for the BIOS, you should keep a PS/2 keyboard to navigate in the BIOS.
