Just purchased some new ram for my System. 2X 184 Pin 1GB PC3200 DDR 400 mhz Ram Dim instead of 2X 184 Pin 512MB PC2700 DDR 333mhz Ram. I've put the new RAM in But the PC will not boot up. The Manual states that the system should support this RAM. I've checked the BIOS and all the Settings for the RAM seem to be set to auto so there should be no problem. I've done RAM upgrades before with no issues! Any help greatly apprecited.

    Many Thanks

    Gary

What happens if you just try one new stick?

Does it boot with the old RAM? If it does I would suspect the new RAM is 'bad' or incompatible with your system. Possibly double check compatibility here: Crucial Memory Advisor.
