WMP and Codec

Win XP Home w/SP2. Haven't played the wave files I have in a while. Tried today and the sound is garbled. MIDI files play fine. I found a software program that checks for corrupt files. Sure enough it found something (see below). The instruction to click on respective Codec---- didn't help. The error displayed is not on the list! The Program is Sherlock - The Codec Detective

I've tried to figure out from the Page how to get the codec downloaded but I just can't figure it out. I'm assuming it's something to do with Audio.

When going to the Audio Properties in my PC, all seems to be well, and no indications of anything not working proper.

Any suggestion to correct this is appreciated.

Oh yes, I have Media Player 9. Didn't like Media Player 10. I decided to reinstall it - that didn't help.

Problem solved! People on this board amaze me everyday with their knowledge. Probably everybody but me knew how to solve this!
