Resolved WinXP/Win7 32 Bit On 64 Bit Board

    I hope I'm posting this in the right place because its not a problem, but more a curious question that I am not sure of the answer too.

    The question is, will Windows XP 32 bit or Win7 32 Bit run ok on a 64 Bit Mainboard? or would there be problems?

    Hi Alpha and Omega. Installing a 32-bit OS will work with a 64-bit processor. Windows XP or Windows 7 32-bit will work fine.

    Evan Omo, thanks for the reply.. I thought it would work since my understanding has always been that 64 bit was backwards compatable... so the operating system doesn't really make a difference and other then that I would need to be sure I used the right drivers..

    One other question though, does anyone know if Win8 would work the same way?

    Yes, the 32-bit version of Windows 8 will also work on a 64-bit machine.

    I thought so... but thought I'd ask, since with current version of Win8, I'm having no luck (lots of problems (mostly my fault (I think))).. But I am looking forward to a final release...
