Hey guys, I have used all my SATA ports on my motherboard (4 HDs on them), but i wanted to use my dvd burners, so I bought a IDE to SATA connector, to use on the DVD burners, the PC turns on and boots fine, but my monitor LG L192WS wont turn on, with the connector connected, what could be the problem.

If the IDE to SATA adaptor is a PCI card, try moving over 1 slot.
BTW, I looked up your motherboard per your system specs, you apparently have 1 ATA hookup, it's the green one.

And if you disconnect that connector your monitor works fine? That is, can you duplicate this problem at will by simply connecting and disconnecting this adapter?

And does the problem happen with the just the adapter connected, or must there be a drive connected to the adapter?
