I was playing Crysis 1 in my pc which was fine(50 fps) until 60% of the game. Then suddenly one bad day the game started lagging(stop and start). Even the Kane and lynch - dead men too become worst.I tried updating/reverting all drivers, nothing worked.
After that i did a clean install of windows 7 and tested the games. Still facing the issue.Any solutions?
Im sure i only play old games which are compatibe with my pc. No temperature rise issues.

    CPU + MB + RAM - 2 yrs old
    GPU + SMPS - 6 months old

I can't remember last time I ran a game on a PC (nor on any other device); I prefer to do other things in my spare time.

Having said that, I would make sure you have all the latest patches for the games & the latest updates from Windows (there have been several compatibility updates for Windows 7) as well as the latest drivers for your hardware.
