Clicking link doesn't behave

A friend has a bunch of email addresses in an Excel spreadsheet. When he clicks them, they (naturally) open his default email client, Outlook Express.

But he wants the link to open his mail system of choice, GMail in Firefox. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks :-)

Thanks Steve. But I don't see how those settings could enable him to click an email link and have Firefox go direct to his GMail page. In fact, my XPPSP3 machine mentions only Outlook Express and Opera as specific options for email client.

I guess I assumed you had setup a Gmail account with in Firefox's email software.

But, as far as I know, you can't get a URL to open FF and go to Gmails site.

Clicking an email link in an application opens the system default email client (program). Firefox is not an email client, nor does it contain one. Your friend should just setup his gmail account in Outlook Express.
