Make a DVD that will play on TV DVD player

For some reason the DVDs I make using Windows Vista will not play on my player that is connected to the TV. Any suggestions?

What type of DVD's are you using? If you're using RW, try R.

What is the format/file type you're tying to view on the tv?

Common Problem BTDT

Unfortunately, some DVD players will not play DVD's created with every program. I found that CloneDVD and CDBurnerXP are the most widely compatible and affordable. Even then some DVD player will not play them. A friend uses RealPlayer's upgraded purchased software and likes that. DVD R's are more widely usable I have found.
