Looking for free zip program

I need to send a rather large file of JPG photos to my daughter so would like a free zip program to download. Any suggestions ? Also would my daughter have to have exactly the same program to download them or any zip program that she might have work ?
Thanks Budo

The compression app built into XP and Vista works well. Have you tried it?

7Zip is a good freebie....And yes you'd both have to have it installed.

Steve
It has been a while since I had occasion to use it that I completely forgot about it. A senior moment or a brain fart I guess. Many thanks.

Hi Budo

I use 7-zip also!

But http://www.izarc.org/ is referred to by many as the Ultimate Archive utility, and I agree.

Will handle any kind of zip arc rar hundreds I think, including disk images as bin, iso, img etc.

Another thing it will do if you have a self extracting exe file and click unzip if it is a self extractor it will open it and allow you to extract like any other zip!

Mike
