unable to change print preferences (excel) err:0x4f65e8ba

Prevention error Function Address 0x4f65e8ba, exception code 0xc0000005

This is the error that is being recieved when trying to change print preferences when printing in Excel through file> print.

reinstalling printers doesn't seem to have any effect.

i would be grateful if anyone could point me to the right resource to fix this thanks.

auspace - Welcome to the Board

Really would be helpful to know your OS - XP, Vista ?? and the version of Office - 2000, 3, 7 ??

Anyway if you have not already done so repair Excel - Help > Detect & Repair.

I guess you have all the Office Service packs installed?

Not a known bug AFAIK, but always good to have the latest Service packs as these cover a host of security issues.

If you log onto Microsoft Update as opposed to Windows Update you should be offered patches, etc relevant to Office 2003 as well as XP.
