hye every one my mood is getting bad i m facing a problem that when i watch live streaming video through internet the video content playing very fast like fast forward with fast voice i can't watch it nicely b4 that i can watch it but since from yesterday i can't watch nicely it keeps playing like fast forward but i can view live streaming on different computer only the one i m using now it's playing fast forward videos okey

Updating your sound card's driver might take care of this problem. If you need assistance with getting the latest version of your sound card driver, contact the card manufacturer.

Perhaps Windows XP's System File Checker (SFC) will help you resolve your issue.
Have your Windows XP CD handy because you may be prompted to insert it into your CD drive during this process.
Click Start > Run...
Type sfc /scannow in the "Open:" field.
Click the OK button.
A "Windows File Protection" window will open and display its progress. If SFC runs successfully without any intervention from you, it will take approximately 15-25 minutes to complete. When SFC completes, the "Windows File Protection" window will simply disappear.
To see any changes that may have been made by SFC after it completes:
Click Start > Run...
Type eventvwr.msc in the "Open:" field.
Click the OK button.
Click the "System" item on the left side of the "Event Viewer" window.
Any changes made by SFC will be displayed (in reverse order) as "Windows File Protection" events between Event ID 64016 (Windows File Protection started) and 64017 (Windows File Protection completed).
Double-click on an event (or right-click on the event and select "Properties") to view details about the event. You can use the up/down arrow buttons on the right side of the event's "Properties" window to view details about adjacent events without having to close the event's "Properties" window.
If you want to copy event details to your clipboard (for pasting into Notepad or a forum message, for example), use the button immediately below the up/down arrow buttons in the event's "Properties" window.

I suggest you copy the details for all SFC "Windows File Protection" errors to Notepad and save the Notepad .TXT file for reference.
I'm guessing your current operating system (OS) is Windows 2000 SP4. Am I correct?
Have you applied all Microsoft security patches up to date? To help you verify this, I suggest you download and run Belarc Advisor. After Belarc Advisor finishes its inventory of your computer system, it will automatically open your web browser and display a report.
CAUTION: Your Belarc Advisor report will contain several private/sensitive details that probably should not be posted in a forum message. If you decide to copy/paste details from your Belarc Advisor report into a forum message, then be careful you do not paste private/sensitive information about your computer system.
In the "Installed Microsoft Hotfixes" section of the Belarc Advisor report, look for items flagged as "Reinstall!". If there are such items, then you should search for the appropriate KBxxxxxx numbers in the Microsoft Download Center, download the appropriate files (for your OS), install them, and then reboot. Then run Belarc Advisor again to confirm all security patches are properly installed.

I am also guessing the c:\winnt\system32\wbem\wbemperm.exe and c:\program files\windows nt\accessories\imagevue\wangimg.exe files do not exist in those locations. Am I correct?
If I am correct, then I think you might be able to resolve all of your SFC "could not be copied into the DLL cache" errors by copying the proper files from your Windows installation CD to those locations specified by SFC. You might be able to find those files in the I386 folder somewhere on the CD or in .CAB files located somewhere on your CD. (You might also want to search your hard drive for your "could not be copied into the DLL cache" files to see where they might be located.)
WinZip is handy for viewing/extracting the files inside .CAB files (which are similar to .ZIP files).
Before searching your hard drive for system files and/or .CAB files, open Windows Explorer and do the following.
Click Tools > Folder Options > View tab.
Enable "Show hidden files and folders".
UNcheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)".
Click the "Apply" button.
Click the "Apply to All Folders" button.
OK your way out.
I wrote these instructions for Windows XP and I do not currently have access to a Windows 2000 computer. Therefore, I do not know if the method I described is exactly the same for Windows 2000.
When you open your Windows search utility (Start > Search ?), you might need to check an option to search hidden files/folders before running the search (Windows XP's search utility has such a selectable option in "More advanced options" under the "All files and folders" menu.)

Please let us know whether these instructions help you fix your SFC "Windows File Protection" errors or not. Also, after fixing the SFC errors, please let us whether your WMP9 streaming video too-fast playback issue is fixed or not.

If you are unsuccessful with fixing your SFC "Windows File Protection" errors, then perhaps a "Repair Install" of your Windows OS will fix your problems. I suggest we wait for recommendations from other people who are more knowledgeable about repair installs than me before proceeding with this idea though.

okey mail man i updated windows 2000 to windows s4 yersterday after reading Belarc Advisor report it seems there were some missing patches just now i fully update through windows update n restart the computer but it seems dones't work then i again did sfc /scannow n here is my log report

n i feel that problem cause when i download trial version of nero 7 recently i m using nero 6 the setup file was corrupted but i force to install n it replaced some files (*what file i don't remember it) i have cleaned the nero from my system but after that also didn't work now i use same old versoin nero 6 but the problem still there i feel may bcs of that my problem arised not sure abt that is it true or not thanx
Whoa! You're right! That's a LOT of errors. I'm guessing a Repair Install would be the best next course of action but I defer recommendations to someone else more experienced than me.

Those particular errors might be directly related to your WMP9 issue. I currently do not know how you should proceed though.
I'll post information as I discover it. I do not know how helpful it might be. Perhaps some details will help you recall some setting you might have made (and can change).
From a newsgroup post: "Protected files are listed in a catalogue and generally whenever any updates are performed the catalogue is updated with the latest version of the “dll” and a copy is placed in the “dllcache” folder (this is where they are restored from). It sounds like you have got a policy configured to not bring up the warning dialogue when a protected file is being replaced. This has resulted in the “dll” being replaced by one which wasn't listed in the catalogue. It might be that this is an older version which it is complaining about. If you run “SFC /scannow” it will scan your existing system files and check them against the catalogue. You might see more information about the conflict once it is detected by this command".
