I don't know how popular this program is, but I've used it for at least 6 months on 3 different machines with great success. Among other things, it cleans your registry, after first backing it up. I didn't have the nerve to use it until a very trusted friend convinced me that it is safe. He used it on several machines for several weeks. Well, it is still working fine on two out of my three machines. Of course, the only feature I use is "clean the registry". On my desktop, it scans and finds 6 items that it identifies as "extensions not in use", runs a little longer, and then puts up a red X dialog that states "INDICE DE LISTE HORS LIMITES (0)" the only option is to click ok and close the program as it stops running at that point. Normally, it would complete its run and give you the option to select the items and remove them. This time, the select option is greyed out. You can still select them individually, delete them individually. But if you run REGSEEKER again, they are back, and the red X dialog box comes back. I've deleted REGSEEKER. Downloaded it from the same website, reinstalled, re-ran it, all with the same results.
Can anyone help? When I first ran Regseeker on this computer, which I bought second hand on ebay, I had already owned the computer for perhaps a year, and always thought it was pretty fast.
After running Regseeker, it found over 2500!! items. I deleted them all, and was amazed at the increase in performance. As I said, all was well for quite a while, and still is on the other two computers(both laptops). But now my desktop Regseeker is not finishing its run to completion. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks for your interest, Steve. All 3 computers are running XP pro with SP2 installed. My version is also 1.45 Build 0505.
I tried running it again, and, it now finds 9 items-the original 6 extensions not used, and 3 active x remarks, and then it hits that red x dialog, and stops. Again, this is on my desktop. The other two are laptops, and, so far, all is well with them.
