Playing a CD-R in a DVD Player

Stupid question but can a slideshow created with a DVD-CD-CD-RW burner be played in a home DVD player? I created a slideshow and playes fine with the CD-ROM in the computer but am wondering if someone could play it if they did not have a computer.

It would depend on how the slide show was made and what program it was made with.

I used as small free slideshow at http://www.lpj-software.com/WhatsLPJSlideshow.htm
and burned it with Nero Express 5.5.10.4, set at data but can change it if other settings will work. Also am willing to switch the slideshow program if a nother on will work better but I only have a PII Dell Lattitude CPi D300XT with 256 ram so am limited to resources.
Thanks

I use that slideshow program and Nero. With the photos as JPEG files it plays in a home DVD player.

Dennis,
What settings do you use in Nero? I also have the BurnQuick program [http://www.burnquick.com/] that I just love because it is fast and takes less resources but do not know if that would work also. I do not own a DVD player so it is hard to experiment.

I make the CD slideshow to autorun when played in a computer. I just burn the folder images and the five files Autorun.inf, Oleaut32.dll, Slideshow.ini, Msvbvm60.dll & slideshow.exe to a CD. Use Nero Express and pick Data to burn those above files and folder. The CD will also play in my home DVD player.
