msmsgs

Whenever I reboot, an MS 'illegal operation' (I think it is) window pops up. When I click on 'details' it says MSMSGS, and a bunch of info about a fault.... After I just click the X, kill the box off, everything works fine. Just wonder how to stop it from being a nuisance. Is there a file missing somewhere or something that should be checked or unchecked somewhere?
I'm runnng NAV 2003, and I don't use MS Messenger.

What is the exact message you are receiving? If you are not using messenger then you could try disabling it at startup.
click START->RUN- in the open line type MSCONFIG then click the startup tab. Look for MSMSGS and uncheck it
Sorry I don't use messenger either and I don't have it loading in my startup so I don't know if this is your problem or not.

Check for the file loadqm.exe at startup, it is associated with messenger.

I checked. loadqm.exe is checked in startup. I went into MS knowledge base and found that my version of Messenger was 4.6 and there is a newer version. So I went into add/remove programs and removed messenger altogether since I don't use it anyway. I haven't rebooted since, so I don't know if that fixed the pop-up error message or not.
