Going to a college in the UK (No names mentioned ) that has a network so slow as having to wait around 10 seconds for a drop down menu such as 'File' or 'Tools' to open I try to do as much work as possible at home.
Heres the problem: I havent got a printer here at home anymore and I simply use the collleges ink to print out. ....When I try to Print Preview something in Excel at home it wont allow me to view it, presumably because theres no printer and says I have to add one before I can view. It also wont allow me to view the page setup either. Word allows me to view Print Preview and Page Setup so why wont Excel. Is there anyway around this, I mean just because I want to view Print Preview doesnt mean I want to print anything out. FS! Both Word and Excel are version 2002.
Any suggestions or fixes anyone?
Cheers.

You don't have to actually have one attached to your computer and if you choose something like an HP4 the drivers are pretty generic, you won't need an installation disk because everything you need is included in Windows.
You may need the Windows CD or if the CAB files are already on your HDD you won't even need that.
You can always remove the printer if you eventually get one of your own.
