H & R Block Tax Cut question

I'm setting up my in-law's new computer, which is running Vista. One of the programs I've installed for them is H & R Block Tax Cut. My father-in-law is a retired CPA and uses it to do tax returns for other retired friends from the church. He had several years worth of returns on his old computer, which I burned onto a disk to transfer to the new computer. The problem is that I can't seem to open the files on the new computer. I get an error message saying Invalid commandline syntax (See CommandlineImpl::initOptionsO). I am wondering if anybody has any experience with doing this? Do I need to manually load each of the previous years' Tax Cut programs into the new computer to get returns from that year to open?
As usual, any help will be appreciated.

When files are burned to CD, they are generally set to "Read Only". Highlight / right click on one of your transfered problem files. This opens dialog menu. Move cursor to "Properties" and left click. From this new view (General tab), at bottom portion of view find "Attributes". Remove Tick from "Read only"...."OK" out from all screens. Now try to open the file. If file loads, repeat process to all other files.

Another possibility is the file extension is not being recognized . Will need to associate to H&R program.

Another possibility is the transfered file(s) types are no longer supported by the new H&R Block program running on Vista. If this is the case you will need to check H&R Block literature for a work-around or contact them directly.
