    Hi -

Ive just reinstalled XP on to my home machine. I have carried out all the updates and also installed DivX and DirectX.

All my video files (Avi, wmv etc) still only play in black and white. This is also true of DVD. I am now lost for ideas!

    Can anyone shed any light?

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

Are the files being read off a cd/dvd drive or does it also happen when viewing files off the hard drive?

If it's only the cd/dvd drive, it could be dirty or dying.

Files from hard drive or direct from the DVD. If I stick a copy of Matrix for example in my DVD drive - its all in B&W!

Problem now solved - I deleted the NVidia display driver and reinstalled... Bingo.

    Cheers
