A MySQL Error

Hi All,

After listening to music from Shoutcast.com for a couple of years, I tried to update my Winamp program and the requests for music were rejected. The rejection:

Unable to connect to Shoutcast DB server
MySQL Error: 1040 Too many connections
Session halted.​

Google has many variations for the Error but I could not find any solutions there or on this Forum. I also removed the old Winamp and downloaded the updated one -- twice, with the same results. Unless someone can provide a solution to this problem it would appear my next step will be a system restore. Your suggestions, please. Thank you.

Since this was the first time that I had encountered the MySQL error after using Shoutcast over a long time on a daily basis, I assumed that the upgraded Winamp was the cause. Your reply prompted me to be more persistent. Several more attempts and I finally connected and all is well. Thank you for the helpful response.
