I am wondering how I can open multiple windows of Microsoft media player at the same time. I am using windows XP and version 10.0.0.3646 of media player.
I have tried everything I can think of. It is not a very user friendly application and settings are hard to get to.
    Thanks experts,
    Dan Johnson

edited out... Pete beat me to it...LOL :)

Perhaps, if you explained what it is your trying to do that would require multiple instances of media player someone can suggest a way of getting it done.

Say a sports site has 2 clips of a racecar crash. To save download time they break the video in half and offer 2 links. you click on the first link and WMP opens and plays the first half of the crash. I have mine set to repeat forever so it goes and goes.
I would like to then open the second link in a new and separate window of WMP while the other is still going then resize the windows so they both show and pause one till the timing is right and hit play to watch the whole thing looking at both windows.
My Win98 machine with an old version of WMP will do up to 4 windows before locking up.
Maybe the new version has the ability to play one right after the other although I have not found that option yet.
    Thanks for the replies,
    Dan
PS: your spell check popup gets redirected to about:blank when I closed it.

johnsdp--Never done it, but you could try to open two instances of WMP, then click on a blank space on the Taskbar (near the clock) and choose Tile Windows Horizontally.
Of course the window size of each instance will only be one half a full screen.

I am not a great user of WMP, bit my guess is that if you are able to download the clips - if they are streamers they should be in Temporary Internet Files - you can add them to a Play List which then should (may) play them without a break. I doubt you can do it with the direct stream, but - maybe ??
