HandyBits Encryption Help

Hello,

I recently upgraded from ME to XP Pro using NTFS. (about time!) Anyway, I have a Word .doc encrypted with the HandyBits encryption program. That program wouldn't start so I tried downloading and reinstalling but got the same error during installation. (Failed to start... At least one program file missing...) I contacted support and am waiting for a reply. In case it can't be resolved, are any of you using this program, and if so, if I send you the file would you unencrypt it and send it back to me?

Do you have the Most Recent Version of HandyBits?

Did you remove the earlier version before trying to download the new one?

 

Yes I did and yes I did! Thanks. The vendor solved the problem. There was a folder that needed to be removed before reinstalling. Thanks again.

 

Thanks for the update and yup, that does happen.

I've started making it a habit to check for and remove the folder for an app from the PC after an uninstall since most apps leave it there with some contents.
