Just bought new XP computer and am installing software that I had been using on my old win98 computer. I am using an old version of MGI Photosuite that won't work on XP without a revised version of file "capdll32.dll ". I really like the program and hope to keep using it, but I need tnis file. Can anyone help? If anyone knows of a web site that might have it, please post. If anyone has it, maybe we can make arrangements for you to email it to me.

    Thanks

Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode?

Yep, I tried various combinations, but nothing worked. I know a file exists, I've seen it discussed on another Forum, but all links provided are invalid.

    irdreed,

I should have posted back that I had found the file at www.driverguide.com. That is an excellent source for drivers, etc.
I downloaded the file and now Photosuite 8.05 works as it did on an old 486 and a not so old PII.

    Many thanks for your reply.

    coboller,
Thanks much for the follow-up reply. I agree that is an excellent source for all of one's drivers needs. Been there many times.
Glad to hear MGI PS is working now.
