what is FUNCRES.XLA?

    I recently notice a new line appears when ever I start excel. It says opening "FUNCRES.XLA ". What does this do? I may need it but am worried it may be a virus althugh virus scanner doesn't say it.

    Can't find any info at the mighty MS sight.

    Not to worry. Funcres.xla is not a virus. It is a support add-in (part of excel). The only info I found on it was referring to an error. I know you're not having this error but take a look if you're interested:
