    How can I keep the office shortcut toolbar from coming up on startup? It is set to autohide along the right side of the screen, but flips out everytime I get over the edge with the pointer.

    I don't have Office installed anymore but I think I remember that if you close the toolbar, you get a box open that asks if you want the toolbar to start when windows starts. Just say no (as Nancy Reagan said) and it won't start again.:)

    Remove the shortcut from your startup folder.
