I would appreciate members views on this security software :: Wise Care 365.
It certainly appears to work, but is it reliable? Reason I say this, is running it several times at different intervals, shows the same errors affecting the computer. It is free, but more accuracy requires an annual fee of $19, this point that concerns me. Thanks Bobby.

Hi BobbyScot, Why not use MSE/Defender? This is built in to the Windows 7 OS and is available FREE - NO ANNUAL FEE - is not a Resource Hog and works extremely well in the background.
I've been using MSE with XP comps up until April and made the change to Avast for the XP comps.
My HDD's running Vista/W7/W8.1 and W10 Preview are running MSE/Defender without any problems.
I've only had the MSE siren go off 3 times in 5 years when it detects an attempted invasion and it immediately quarantines whatever has tried to get in.
The only thing you see with MSE/Defender is a GREEN Icon in the Systray when all is OK and the colour changes to Orange if it needs to do a scheduled scan or if it needs updating.
Other AV's are quite intrusive - showing annoying "splash screens" in the middle of your work.
Others will probably have their opinions so you will have to make choices.
Remember, MS AV's are turned off when another AV system is installed and don't run 2 AV's at the same time - they will cause conflicts and problems. Neil.

Hi BobbyScot, Sorry I obviously jumped to the conclusion you were concerned about Anti-Virus.
Wise Care 365 is just another program for supposedly cleaning your comp.
I've had a look at some Reviews by users and generally I get the impression that most think CCcleaner is better. It is not an AV program. My bad.
Be wary of using cleaners in your comp. Seek advice from Evan Omo on looking after your comp. Neil.

Gentlemen, thank you for helpful comments, appreciated. I have tried Wise Care 365 trial software that certainly has in this instance slightly increased the speed of the computer. One stage it offers to stop unnecessary software starting up at switch on, Windows 7 is configured already for this procedure. Most of WC 365 procedures require the registration fee before implementing changes. I do have at present CCleaner Pro, it certainly works satisfactory for me but never has improved computers functions. What I need to decide to register or not WC 365 or is it just a gimmick. Thank you Bobby.

I would seek help from Evan Omo if you wish to speed up your W7 OS. You may create problems using software such as Wise Care 365 especially if it clears Registry entries. IMHO. Neil.

BobbyScot: Do you know anything about the registry. If you don't. Do not mess with it. Back up the registry if you do need to perform any work in there. Another good rule to follow: Before installing programs it's a good practice to create a restore point.

Ij50, I know about the Registry workings over the years, but not enough to make vital changes to the Registry. I agree entirely with you to leave the Registry well alone and all software that alters the make up. Another software called Clean Master appears to leave alone the Registry and concentrates in removing uninstalled software left overs. Should CM be left out? Computer magazines write about such software, advising readers to try out, but fail to inform of the pitfalls. Good advice has been given to leave Wise Care 325 well alone. Thanks Bobby.

Retiredlearner, you mention MSE/Defender is this installed with Windows 7? I was made to understand that MSE was a replacement for Defender. If I am wrong, can you please advise procedure to find Defender or install same, this will be most appreciated. Thanks Bobby.
