Quite often, when watching a news link, I get a standard popup:

    "Adobe Flash Player Settings
    Local Storage
admin.brightcove.com is requesting permission to store info on your computer

    Allow/Deny "

But no matter whether I click the Allow or Deny box, nothing changes and the pop up still remains.

Does this have anything to do with the cookie setting for the particular site?

    How do I fix this?

Try blocking all sites from storing info......

Control Panel > Flash Player > Storage tab > Block all sites ....

I check "Allow" and do not check "Ask me "

    Thanks guys.

    That was all very helpful.

If nobody knows of a strong reason Not to check "Allow sites to save info on this computer" I going to try that route.
