After a document has been started, is it possible to change the style and size of font. Selecting a new style and size of font in an opened document changes but in typing further words the settings reverts back to original selection. Can this change be carried out?

Most all rich text editors have a default font family and default font size. These can be changed in the options. One can also create a new default template for new documents with one's choice of fonts & sizes.

OpenOffice (LibraOffice too) uses Times New Roman as the default. If you don't dig that font, change it in Tools > Options.

What I do when I use such editors is type away, and then use Edit > Select All and change the font to the family I want to use, then go back and change sizes where necessary.

TonyT, many thanks for your suggestions. It is just what I needed as the document was well started but required a better style and font size for easy reading.
