    when we reinstall itunes there is no problem. but everytime i open it says that itunes is outta date. Then sends us to update with other items, it runs and then says there was an error. Hence the reason i ran the original log.

    Why don't you use Revo Uninstaller to remove it. Use the FREE one. Then when you open it up, do this.

    Just do the Revo thing. When it opens up to the window to let you uninstall it, the choices are:

    Built - in

    Safe

    Moderate (which is tic by default}

    Advamced (this is the one you want)

    Also let it clean the registry for you also. I have never had it mess the PC up and have used it many, many times.

    I agree with Bill. Use Revo Uninstaller to remove all apple programs that are on your system. Then reboot the computer and install a fresh version of iTunes.

    ok, will the revo lose any of her music, because that's why i haven't used a heavy uninstaller yet. Worried it might take the library with it. She has a lot of ripped and purchased music on it.

    Thanks for the advice either way.

    I don't use Itunes, but I think that it will. In my opinion, leaving anything on your HD that you don't want to loose is like playing Russian Roulette with a bullet in every other hole in the chamber. You will loose it when you least expect it. Have her back it ALL up then re-download it.
