[FONT= "Tahoma"]Hello, once again I found something in my PC. I can not run Adobe Flash Player (AFP). When I try to run something needing AFP I am told that I must install the latest version. I download and install AFP and receive a message that it installed correctly. However, I receive the same message, install AFP. I look at Programs & Features and it shows that AFP has just been installed. I am at a loss as to what to try next.
I am having the same problem with Iespell right now.
Ladies & gentlemen I need your excellent support one more time.

    Kevin

In this sort of situation, I'd completely uninstall it using revo uninstaller and reinstall the latest version again. Its possible that you unwittingly have traces of an older version installed and is causing a conflict. Revo uninstaller will detect multiple installations and remove them all. Just make sure you use the advanced removal tool and get rid of all traces of it.

Hi Kevin. Adding to what Don suggested, after running Revo uninstaller go ahead and download the latest version from here, Adobe Flash Player.

When you downlaod the installer save the program to your desktop. Then close all browser windows and then install the plug in. When its installed start Internet Explorer back up and see if it works properly. By the way what version of Internet Explorer do you have installed?

Also please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions.

Note: A common error is to forget to show your System Details in your profile:

Make sure to do the above when entering your System Details, thanks.

Any particular reason why Pete? In my experience, most program uninstallers leave multiple registry entries and multiple redundant dlls and other junk on a system. In all my using of Revo Uninstaller, I've found it a very capable tool that gets rid of all that I need to get rid of in order to do a clean reinstall of said program.

I'm not saying you're wrong or arguing with you - I'm just curious. If I'm playing with fire - I'd rather know and stop it before I get burned :D

    Just expressing an opinion :)

In my experience using the Adobe uninstaller prior to the Adobe installer for Flash has never raised any issues. Better still the Adobe automatic updater does the job admirably in one simple step. I've not found it necessary to use Revo with Flash although it is an excellent program for getting rid of orphan Registry entries when uninstalling other programs, not that these necessarily cause issues or a drop in performance.

    Note to OP .....

If you use both IE and Firefox you need to install the appropriate versions of Flash for each browser.

I see. I just tend to use Revo by default because, like you say, it does an excellent job. Also, part of the process is to run the program's own uninstaller first and it then sees what's left over.

Sometimes it doesn't find anything else to get rid of. For example, I was installing a router for a client the other day who was previously using a speed-touch modem. I used Revo a) because I had installed it earlier to get rid of other junk software, and b) I was confident that by the time it was finished every trace of it would be gone. Additionally, there was an unidentified hardware error on screen after boot-up which I had already diagnosed as pertaining to the speed-touch modem. As it happened, the speed-touch uninstaller cleared it all and there was nothing further left for Revo to do.

Normally, yes - I agree and I would normally do exactly that. However, in this case, the OP's problem was that that didn't appear to be happening....

:) [FONT= "Tahoma"]Inspite of my ability to mess up a free lunch I was able to fix the problem. I had to enable something for the Adobe Flash Player. I have no idea what I did but it worked.
I really appreciate your quick responses. I did learn a lot from your suggestions to use REVO Uninstaller. I will continue to use this tool.

    THANK YOU!!!
