Security over a lan

Dear All,

I have 5 PCs wired through one switch;
2 PCs connected to the internet and under one workgroup;
3 PCs not connected to the internet and under another workgroup;

Could the 3 PCs be under security (viruses) threat from the ones connected to the internet?

Thank you

Since they're all connected through one switch I'd guess the anwer to be YES. Many viruses are written to sniff out other pc's on a network.
