Media Disconnected using Ethernet Port

Hi,

I used the search, and found someone who made like 5 of these in one day so of course they all got closed down, but there didn't appear to be a resolution.

Not to worry though, I only plan on posting this once.....maybe twice

I just bought an HP Mini 1030NR. Really nifty so far, butttttt...Im here at work (sssshhhh) and the wireless works fine when I have the switch enabled of course. However, the ethernet port says "media disconnected" in IPCONFIG and I can't get it to connect when I plug in the cable. There is no requirement to logon to the domain or anything, as we have other computers/devices that work this way.

I have confirmed that the LAN connection is set to auto detect, Im not sure what else to verify.

Marvell Yukon 88E8040 Ethernet controller

Win XP SP3
1Ghz
1GB RAM

Thanks for any help/suggestions
