Smile server connection error

Friend Using software in a hosted mode installed on a PC that communicates over the internet to servers at the main company. I believe She has to have an active internet connection to use the software. How should I advice her on resolving this error?

Hi bemrr5, welcome to WindowsBBS

You'll have to supply a little more information before anyone can give you an answer.

What software is your friend using?

Does she have an active internet connection?

Does the error message give any further details that you haven't included in your subject?

She uses a software spectrum product.
I don't believe she has an active internet connection. The only message she gets is server connection error.
