Question Internet Connection after Fresh Install

Ok I had a hard drive die on me, I installed a fresh copy of windows with sp1 off the disk, I had no problems, I went to update to SP2 and my internet doesn't work. In Firefox I just get a blank page and in IE it say That it can't display the page, if I roll back to pre patch it works without fail, any ideas? The only reason I need sp2 is because my video driver require framework 2 which I need sp2 to run any help or idea would be great

you are missing the drivers for the motherboard if you are dealing with an integrated network card
Most likely the computer is not running that well as well
Install the drivers for the motherboard
If you need to get online get an older PCI network card and plug it into a slot
It should install and let you on the internet
