note:
Some wireless adapters come with manufacturer connection software that loads when you start Windows. Rule of thumb is let Windows built in wifi software manage the wifi connections. If the manufacturer software loads when starting Windows you can disable it via Start > Run > msconfig > Startup tab. But you will need to know what the actual program file is, Some are obvious, such as abcwlan.exe, etc.
