I am trying to network my pc with my laptop via an adsl wireless router. My PC is on XP Pro and the laptop is on XP Home. I have done the networking wizard on both computers and this all seemed to work. Both computers could ping each other but when i tried to share files on either computer I got the message "you might not have permission to use this system resource".
I tried to set up a network id on the xp pro computer and ensure they had the same username, but this seems to have made it worse. Now when I try to view the workgroup computers from the pc i get the "you may not....etc" message again. Although the laptop can still see the pc, but the pc cannot see the laptop.
I am now at a complete loss for what to do next. Any suggestion would be gratefully received.

Make sure you have both the "Client For Microsoft Networks" client and "File and Printer Sharing For Miccrosoft Networks" service loaded. If possible, goto Start, Run, and run ipconfig /all and post your results.
