XP, ME wireless

I want to hook my computers together, but one is in a bedroom and the other is in our living room. I want to buy a wireless router. Is there a way to hook one physically to the router, and the other wirelessly?

Example:

* ignore these, they just ensure the data is not dragged to the front
- means wired
| up/down wired
E up/down wireless
= means wireless

IN = External Cable modem
RO = Router
XP = XP computer
ME = Millennium computer

*******============================ME
*******E
IN-----RO------
************|
***********XP

I want to connect the XP computer to wired so I don't have to change any cards. I want the ME to be wired because it is far away.

Also, what would be the minimum requirements for a wireless network adaptor? I have a 300MHz Pentium, 140MB RAM, Windows Millennium Edition computer.

Thank you for your help

I have done it with less than that.

Most name brand Wireless Routers come with 4 wired ports plus wireless so you shouldnt have a problem doing what you want to do.

Go for it. Be sure to configure the wireless to require authentication & encryption. The manual will explain how to do it, Or else post back here if you have problems.
