as my subject says: i have 2 routers,1 switch, 4 computers, and an X box all on my network, sounds confusing but it is nice and neat.....
anyways, I have a Dell, 2 coustem, and my X Box on my D-Link router, and my Compaq presario 2500 laptop on my Netgear wireless router.
(switch is to switch between my computer in my room and my X Box, use up less bandwith that way :-) )
problem #1:my 3 computers see eachother, can share but not Direct Connect (windows XP Pro), i want them to DC
problem #2:my laptop gets a internet connection but cannot see the other computers
Routers are designed to let ethernet devices on different networks talk to each other.
If all your devices are set up to be on the same network and one is behind a seperate router, chances are they will never be able to work together.
If the laptop is really on a different network but the router has no routing table to tell it about the main network, they will never be able to work together.
You don't give specifics about exactly what routers you have so all I can do is ask - can the netgear device be made to act as a bridge rather than a router? If so, it would certainly simplify your life.

Could you explain the part in dark red. From what you wrote, I'm not really sure what you meant unless you are talking about an A-B switch rather than an ethernet device.
