usb\router

Does anyone know if it takes a special router to hook up an alcatel usb\dsl modem or can you use a usb\ethernet adaptor to plug it into the router??
since the modem gets it's power from usb port, does the router furnish power for usb modem?

Right now i'm using ICS to share with but don't want to have
the sharing computer on just to use the other ones.
and it loads the sharing computer down some.

Thank you.

The DSL modem is a USB device and would therefore need to connect to a USB controller. See Vigor 2200 USB Router review and Draytek .
