    my router already has dd-wrt.

What are the steps in changing the setup so it acts like a repeater?

I can not find dd-wrt cotrol panel software.
3300 setup looks different than the article.

Using ie7 to setup the 3300, there is a place in the 3300 to set repeater mode but when i tell it to save, ie7 shows a window that it lost connection

I couldn't help you as I don't have your router.

If you still need help, you should use the dd-wrt forum.

If this issue is resolved (reads like it from your last post), please mark your thread as 'Resolved'.

    two points

    1) turn off dhcp in the second router
the first router will just treat it like a switch and allocate more ports
if the dhcp is turned on in both it will have 2 routing tables
it may work sporadically - but its confusing to the networking and if you try to do something like online banking it might not work

    2) on the second router set the channel to another than router number one
this way windows grabs the stronger signal
otherwise it flips between the two signals on the same channel with erratic log ons
Windows ( at least in XP_) and the wireless utility only grabs one signal at a time - the strongest one

Be a little more patient msi, but I'd imagine the second router visionof was referring to would be your netgear.
