I would like to make my network more secure, as my main pc was infected with spyware earlier. However problem was fixed.
I have Verizon Fios, which uses the Actiontec MI424WR, which cannot be used as a bridge. I would to like install IPCop or Smoothwall on a old PC, place it between the Actiontec and my network. How do I configure the network switch attached to the IPCop PC, when the firewall and DHCP cant be disabled on the Actiontec ?.
Any information or direction would be appreciated. After all you guys are the experts.
    Thanks
